WHAT’S NEW IN MIP CLOUD VERSION 2020.3
Updates within this release include:
- New opportunities to provide us feedback: We’ve implemented two new tools, Wootric and Feature Upvote, that enable you to provide feedback to our product team directly:
- You’ll now find opportunities to share whether you would recommend MIP to others directly within the platform.
- We’ve implemented a new tool, Feature Upvote, which is an enhanced replacement for our Ideas Portal that provides improved moderation support to prevent spam. We’ll continue migrating ideas from the existing portal over time, so please note there may be a delay between the time of your submission and when it will appear on the site.
- Expanded API capabilities: Our API (application programming interface) supports new endpoints, including budgets transactions, encumbrances transactions, encumbrances liquidations transactions, account balances, budget balances, customer balances, vendor balances, and encumbrance balances. - Enhancements to Executive View: We’ve added enhancements to Executive View, including more granular permissions in the Modern UI.
Additional updates within our classic user interface include:
- Quality improvements: This release includes several quality enhancements based on reported issues and customer feedback.
- Simplified export options: Our “Red Door” export options no longer include Microsoft Access and Word.
- Transaction Conversion to NEC-01: All 2020 MISC-07 transaction data will be updated to NEC-01, and any remaining vendor defaults that still use MISC-07 will be updated to NEC-01 as well.
- New Reports: Additional reports are now available to support meeting EEO compliance requirements.
- NOTE: This release is required in order to process 1099s and W-2s through Aatrix for Tax Year 2020.

- Bank Reconciliation module enhancements: We’ve implemented customer-driven usability enhancements and improved reporting performance within Bank Reconciliation.

Reports & Attachments
The release now requires users to download and save attachments and export reports to the user’s local computer. Any attachments and reports exported in MIP and the HR module will no longer be viewable from within the application.

WHAT’S NEW IN MIP CLOUD VERSION 2020.1.1
The MIP 2020.1.1 release includes key updates to the Federal Tax tab and W4 information screens in Payroll, HR and EWS enabling employees to keep their pre-2020 withholding on file or submit updated 2020 W4 information. New employees and existing employees updating their Federal Tax withholding will be required to use the 2020 W4 method. More details are available in the Payroll, HR and EWS online help.

WHAT’S NEW IN ABILA MIP CLOUD VERSION 2019.2
This release contains extensive improvements to our modern user interface, creating a product that enables all primary accounting functionality to be done from a single user interface.
We have changed the product name from MIP Advance to MIP Cloud.
You’ll also notice we’re starting to use the terms – Modern and Classic – representing the two different interfaces you can access in MIP Cloud. The Classic UI is the interface our customers have used and trusted for years, whereas the Modern UI takes the customer experience into an intuitive user-centric view.

- Streamline invoice entry for Accounts Payable within a reimagined UX exclusive to MIP AdvanceTM. We’ve incorporated new auto-incrementing and vendor lookup that utilizes auto-complete technology to quickly find the result you need.
- Consume, edit, and post Accounts Payable invoices from other systems with further API (Application Programming Interface) expansion. Our REST-based API can be utilized for a variety of integration needs. Available Abila Product Partner solutions can be found in the Abila Marketplace.
- Offer online employee benefit enrollment with our new Benefit Enrollment module. An integrated companion to our Human Resources and Employee Web Services (EWS) modules, this new module equips you to offer open enrollment via a Web-based portal for your employees. Manage the initial setup and enrollment processing using highly configurable options that utilize your existing MIP HR benefit plans and employee/dependent data. Your employees are guided through enrollment with instructions you customize as they review current benefits and elect new choices from offered benefit plan group(s).

WHAT’S NEW IN ABILA MIP ADVANCE™ VERSION 2016.1?
With Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting around the corner, and the ever-present pressures of data integrity and organizational efficiency, managing your financials is a constant challenge. With this MIP release, we focus on key changes to the system to ensure ACA compliance, along with expanded API capabilities for seamless system integrations.
ENHANCED FUNCTIONALITY TO MAINTAIN COMPLIANCE AND STEWARDSHIP
- Protect your organization’s funds with expanded alerting. Continuing to expand on the alerting functionality available to all customers, version 2016.1 includes a new alert for check writing. Should a check be written without an associated Vendor ID, selected members of your distribution list (both within MIP and outside the system) will receive a notification, and can take the appropriate action.
- Synchronize ledger entries and budget transactions with external systems. Continuing to expand the REST-based API introduced in MIP version 2015.2, Abila announces an expanded REST-based API to cut down on time-intensive exporting, data transformation, and importing activities at your organization. With budget transactions now included in the REST-based API, you can configure the API to automatically import and export budget AND general ledger transactions to other systems, whether on-premises or in the cloud.
- Stay in compliance with ACA reporting. Key changes to data transferred between MIP and reporting partners ensure your organization easily complies with crucial reporting requirements.
- Save time and keystrokes with auto- MIP Advance™ now features auto-incrementing of journal entries and other transaction types, decreasing the time spent entering transactions.
- Simple budget transaction entry within the MIP Advance™ user interface to help you create and maintain your organization’s budget in your office and on the road.
